About Rebecka

I was twenty-eight the first time someone read Tarot for me.

A friend had recently bought a deck and brought it to a girls' night to practice on us. At some point, she calculated a personal card for each of us based on our birth dates.

Mine was The Hermit.

I'd often been described as shy, but the word had never felt quite right. The Hermit showed me something else: solitude wasn't necessarily something wrong with me. It was where I reflected and made sense of things.

I felt seen.

The next day, I bought my first Tarot deck.

I've been reading the cards ever since.

“A Tarot session with Rebecka is like opening a door to my own inner wisdom. The cards didn’t just tell me what I wanted to hear: they revealed what I needed to see, with honesty and kindness. I left feeling lighter, clearer, and deeply connected to myself in a way I hadn’t felt in a long time. Truly transformative!”

Learning to See

At first, I approached Tarot by learning what the cards meant. I read books, studied interpretations, and tried to remember what I had learned when I sat down to read.

Over time, I began to see something else. The cards were speaking to each other. Symbols repeated. Figures looked toward or away from one another. A story began to form across the spread.

My fascination with symbols eventually took me into dreams and art, and I later trained as a certified Art Interpreter. That changed the way I worked with Tarot: less rushing to decide what an image meant, and more learning to look at what was actually there.

Almost Thirty Years Later

I still have moments when I turn over a card and don't immediately know what to make of it.

That's part of what has kept Tarot interesting to me for almost thirty years.

The cards still surprise me. Sometimes a connection appears that I couldn't have planned. Other times a card makes me look at something completely differently.

I don't understand exactly how all of that works. It defies logic, and that's part of the magic!

Learning has been at the center of my work for even longer than Tarot has been part of my life. I'm a trained teacher, but I've always been more interested in catalyzing learning than delivering knowledge.

Holding the Tarot brings those two parts of my life together.
